Bella Mante was participating as Sail No.USA 45 in two of the cartier we5002x2 ladies watch race divisions namely, Mini Maxi Racing and Mini Maxi Racing/Group 00.Sagamore Enigma sailing under the Sail No USA 50705 was competing in Racing/Cruising as well as Combined Racing and Racing Cruising divisions.Quite expectedly there were lots of expectations from both the boats and their crews, and in return both the teams tried to give in their best performances.Bella Mante made a great start with top finish in the very first race of the Mini Maxi Racing.It followed it up with another win and more or less good performances over the division spread across seven races.In the Mini Maxi Racing/Group 00 Bella Mente though made a good start but eventfully could only manage overall 4th place cartier we5002x2 ladies watch among eight boats.Sagamore Enigma also gave a decent performance but couldn’t exactly come at the top.In the Racing/Cruising division the boat most of the times was in the lower half among the 4 boats racing.In the other division that it participated in, Combined Racing and Racing Cruising, again it couldn’t do much and was placed 4th at the end in a field which only had five boats.In spite of not so spectacular performance from the American crews, the enthusiasm and the tireless hard work with which all the sailors participated were the things that Rolex tries to promote and realizes through prestigious events like the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup 2009.
The competition at the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup 2009 was expected to be among the most intense in the history of sailing and regatta and as the race after race and day after day turned out to be that was exactly what happened.The eagerly awaited Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup 2009 was organized by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in association with the International Maxi Association and was supported by the best watchmaker in the world, Rolex.This year’s competition saw 42 maxis competing for the top honors in seven different divisions wherein there were to be five to seven races in each.Every race of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup since its inception has been fiercely competed and sailors have always taken immense pride in being part of the regatta.Organized at the beautiful town of Porto Cervo in Italy, the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup 2009 was spread over five days each of which promised something better, something different and something more challenging than rest of the days.With sailors from all across the world eager to showcase their talent and potential in best possible manner every race of every division was a breathtaking experience for not just the sailors and the crews but for the fans too.Though there was a clear domination of European cartier we5002x2 ladies watch teams with countries like Great Britain, Ireland, Germany and Italy being represented by some of the best sailors around, the reach of the regatta was global in every sense.There were teams from as far as New Zealand, some of which were among the best and proved that too.Giving them company were two teams from USA, both of which were potential contenders for the top honors.Hap Fauth’s Bella Mante and Nicola Paoleschi’s Sagamore Enigma were the flag bearers for the American nation and their countless fans.
